Recipe Share – sharing the love

I’m a little bit addicted to trying new recipes.  I try at least one, most weeks.  There’s something rather exciting about experiencing fresh taste combinations or learning new techniques.  My recipe book collection is a testament to that!

I have also found it very satisfying to be able to share my own recipes on this blog.  It’s rather like watching one of your favourite films with someone who has never seen it before – you nervously glance over to see if they’re enjoying it and feel immensely proud when they tell you they loved it!

So imagine my excitement when I struck upon the perfect way to combine both trying something new AND spreading the word so other people can enjoy it too – recipe sharing! This was how my ‘Monthly Five’ post was born…

The monthly five

The idea is, I will continue to try at least a couple of new recipes each week and at the end of the month I will post five of them – the actual recipes (or links to them) along with reasons why I loved them.

Here’s were YOU come in!

I don’t want to just try recipes from books that anyone can go out and buy – I want to showcase recipes from other blogs or recipes that you think are great and want to share.  So my plea to you is this – if you have a recipe that you use at home and that you and your family love, then please send it to me! It can be one of your own or just one that you love.  Although I will only post about five in detail, I will acknowledge all contributors who have made the effort to send their recipe to me.
